About

Paige Y. Jackson

Paige Y. Jackson was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is the daughter of Daniel and Searcy Williams, the sister of Joshua and the mother of Sydney Rachel, her daughter who passed in 2010 due to prematurity. Paige is the great great granddaughter of Henrietta Harris, a lay midwife who practiced in central Arkansas for 30 plus years, and who caught many babies including Paige’s grandmother Searcy, a triplet. Paige is a graduate of Mercy In Action College of Midwifery, and completed her clinicals in New Beginnings Birth Center, all located in Boise, Idaho.

Paige is no stranger to birth work or leadership, and brought with her to midwifery school 10 years experience as a hospital CNA (Labor/Delivery, Mother/Baby, PICU & NICU), Doula, Childbirth Educator, Lactation Educator, and Car Seat Technician. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Idaho Breastfeeding Coalition, a founding member and current treasurer of the Idaho Chapter of the National Association of Certified Professional Midwives (NACPM), a member of the Idaho Midwifery Council and a member of the National Black Midwives Alliance. When Paige is not reading, studying or at a birth you can find her writing, researching genealogy, or spending time with her family. Her favorite quote is by motivational speaker Les Brown, “Most people fail in life, not because they aim too high and miss; but because they aim too low and hit.” Paige is excited to join the Abide Women Health Services team and to work alongside all organizations currently serving with the families of Sunny South Dallas.
