Krystle Thomas was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Her passion for birth work started at an early age when she watched a birth in her family life science class. Krystle joined the Navy at the age of 17 and currently has 16 years of service. She is a proud Navy Chief currently serving in the United States Navy Reserve. After serving four years of active duty, Krystle returned to Dallas to get her Bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University majoring in Women’s Studies and Sociology. After graduating she became an educator through the Troops to Teachers program and was in education as a Middle School Teacher for seven years. Krystle is a Certified Perinatal Coach helping families throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. As a certified birth and postpartum doula, Krystle’s passion is to reduce the maternal and infant mortality rates in the Black community. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting and gardening.
